World Oceans Day - June 8, 2018 - Pelagic Data Systems is one of three companies to win National Geographic Competition to continue work protecting global fisheries by combating IUU fishing.
Pelagic Data Systems has developed a small, solar-powered device that uses cellular networks and GPS tracking to collect data aboard a wide variety of fishing vessels. Pelagic's data can verify that fish were caught legally and stored properly. This data results in higher wages for fisherman and safer, more sustainable seafood for the world.
